Anna Lee Anda

I'm a Masters (MSc) research student at the University of Melbourne researching persuasive technology - specifically how an application on mobile and/or web can change an individual's fitness activities and behaviour. I'll be trialling this with a specific group of young people with mental illness ranging from 15-25 in age. I'm part of the Interaction Design Group at the University of Melbourne.

My areas of interest academically include: persuasive technology, persuasive technology, social networks, serious gaming, health, wellness, fitness, mobile applications, web applications.

As a result of my research, I'll be writing about my running which is following the Couch to 5K program which I'll ask my research participants to follow also.

I have two undergraduate degrees in Law (L.L.B) and Commerce (B.Com) from the University of Canterbury, my law specialties are IP, commercial law, tax law, media law and advanced criminal law. As part of my Commerce degree I majored in Management of Information Systems, Information Systems Project Management and Tax Accounting.

I hail from New Zealand, but currently reside in Australia. I have mixed ethnicity which has spurred my personal interest and research into biracial people and how they fit in today's society.

Other personal interest areas include: reading, travel, networking, entrepreneurship, board games, entertaining/cooking, dining out, wine, web and mobile technology, fitness, health and beauty, kareoke and last but not least, entering competitions.

Next year I'll be looking for a full-time role relating to User Experience and Interaction Design - if you know of a suitable role please contact me.
